Lorna Dinius
Operations and Contracts Manager, She/Her
Lorna was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, the only daughter of immigrant parents who arrived in the U.S. in the 1990s. A proud first-generation college graduate, she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, double majoring in Psychology and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies, with a minor in Diversity.
Before joining the California Healthy Nail Salon Collaborative (CHNSC), she worked at a Seattle-based nonprofit dedicated to eliminating barriers to success for immigrant and refugee communities. With over seven years of nonprofit experience, she brings a deep passion for preserving and honoring culture and heritage in her work (and personal) life.
Currently serving as the Operations & Contracts Manager for the Collaborative, she oversees administrative processes and collaborates with CHNSC, Center for Empowerment in Politics Education Fund (CEPEF), and Resilient Strategies teams to support the employee lifecycle with an analytical and people-centered approach. She remains committed to uplifting and celebrating everyone’s culture, ethnicity, and heritage through acts of service and community building.
When not immersed in spreadsheets and contracts, Lorna enjoys cooking, traveling, and giving her two cats Luna and JiJi unsolicited kisses and snuggles.
