Support nail salon workers today.

Manicurists across the state are navigating the current financial crisis without access to health care, paid sick leave, or job security. Many workers who cannot afford to lose a day’s pay have lost their jobs, or are barely making ends meet with the sharp decline in clientele frequenting their salons.

In California, Vietnamese manicurists— most of whom are refugees, immigrant women, and low-wage workers — live in fear of exacerbated food insecurity due to impending SNAP cuts. 15% of nail salon workers receive CalFresh/SNAP benefits (“Nail Files California: A Study of Nail Salon Workers and Their Industry”, 2024).

Our communities need us more than ever.

Donate today to help nail salon workers meet their basic needs.
